One important thing I learned from getting married myself is that your wedding photographer is the vendor you’ll interact with the most on your wedding day. They will be there throughout all the tears of joy, laughter, and heart-felt moments. And I believe in being the kind of photographer who doesn’t feel like just another vendor; I take clients and turn them into friends.

During our call we'll chat about your day and figure out just how much coverage you need in order to capture all your must have moments on your big day!
Then this
I build you a custom collection and then send over your booking proposal with your deposit invoice and contract and we make things official! Que the champagne pop!

This is such an important part of the process because you get to experience working with me and get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day! For couples who choose to add on an engagement session only.

ENGAGEMENT SESSION
I will be there for you throughout the entire process for guidance, moral support, and a sprinkle of humour
Three months from your wedding I'll send you a Questionnaire to fill out that will give me all the details for the day. This helps me prepare your Day of Timeline. Then we will have our final meeting to go over everything and make sure you are both 100% ready for the big day!

PLANNING
The day you've been dreaming of and planning for months is finally here!
I will capture all those big moments and the little ones in between, leaving no detail unseen, so that you and your families have beautiful memories to cherish for years to come.
Four
your wedding day
You can expect your photos to be delivered via an online gallery within four weeks of your wedding.
At that time, I'll also send over details about preserving your images through prints and albums and will work with you to design a gorgeous album (should you choose) to showcase your beautiful images in.

I'm Melissa, a wedding photographer who wears her heart on her sleeve and has a serious passion for travel, nature, storytelling, and hearing all about my couples love stories. My camera? It’s the vehicle I use to tell love stories like yours. I am a photographer, lover of weddings, and a storyteller. I’ve been in your shoes, I’ve planned a wedding, and I know now that long after the cake has been eaten, and your dress has been hung, your photography will be one of the only things left of your precious day. These are your first heirlooms as a new family, and you deserve a photographer who will cherish them as much as you will.

Are your Wedding Collections customizable?
Absolutely. I require a minimum of two hours to book and then each additional hour is added on as needed. You may also build into your collection your heirloom album, a second photographer, prints, rehearsal dinner coverage, etc.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you travel for weddings and how much do you charge?
I love traveling for weddings and have photographed all over the country including in Virginia, Texas, Georgia, and North Carolina. I have a flat travel fee of $450 for any destination wedding outside South and Central Florida that covers my flight and two nights accommodation.
Do you use a second photographer for micro weddings/elopements?
For larger size weddings I include a second photographer in my collections and will not photograph without one. However, for micro weddings and elopements I have it as an a la carte option, as it depends on the wedding and couple.
How do you differentiate between a regular wedding and a micro/elopement?
Typically a micro-wedding is one with under 50 guests. Often times these smaller weddings won't include bridal parties, a large reception with dancing, and will have a shorter ceremony. Any wedding with over 5o guests I send my regular wedding collections which begin at 8 hours and start at $3,600.
Do we have to have an engagement session?
You absolutely do not have to have an engagement session. Because each couple, timeline, and wedding is so unique I offer engagement sessions complimentary. Though it is always lovely getting to work with you photographer before the big day!
How do we know how much coverage we need on the day of?
Coverage depends on a few factors including whether or not you want getting ready photos, how much time you'd like for portraits, ceremony length, and style of reception. We'll go over everything during our consultation though!
What made you want to be a wedding photographer?
I've always loved wedding photography, but it wasn't until I got engaged myself that I decided to pivot my business from portraits to weddings. I discovered that my greatest joy as a photographer would be to deliver the same incredible experience I had as a bride to my very own clients. In short, I fell in love with love and with documenting that journey of love and life for others just like myself.
